Fight for Sight’s Bath Committee have been busy fund-raising this year. In addition to their popular annual summer party, they have been out and about with collecting boxes – first at Morrison’s store and then at Bath Race Course. The two collections together provided nearly £700 for Fight for Sight.

In August, despite the rain, their fifteenth annual summer garden party went ahead as planned at the home of Eric Snook in Midford when guests, undeterred by the weather, danced to music provided by Devizes-based big band Sound and Company and enjoyed their picnics in the garden.

Eric Snook, chairman of the Bath Committee, said:

“Thanks to the support of our guests, we were delighted to raise £2,000 for Fight for Sight.”

“We were also really pleased to welcome to the party Michele Acton, Fight for Sight’s Chief Executive. Our thanks go to the generous people who donated the splendid raffle prizes that helped us to raise this impressive amount of money for eye research.”
