Give in celebration

If you have a birthday, anniversary, wedding or any other special event coming up, why not use your occasion to support Fight for Sight?

You could ask friends and family to give a donation instead of buying a present. The money we receive will be used to fund vital research into the prevention and treatment of blindness and eye disease.

Whatever your special occasion, Fight for Sight can help you prepare for your big day by providing balloons, a collection box and posters. We can also provide donations cards to distribute to your friends and family.  

You can also set up your own fundraising page through our Justgiving webpage. It’s easy to do and a great way to encourage friends and family to donate online.

A golden example: The Rushbrooks

Rosemary and Roger Rushbrook celebrated 50 years of marriage at a special lunch at Elm Farm Hotel in Norwich and an anniversary party at their local cricket club. As a patient of the Norfolk and Norwich eye clinic, Rosemary chose to support Fight for Sight after attending a World Sight Day information event hosted by the University of East Anglia.

Friends and family of the Rushbrooks helped to raise over £600 for eye research by making donations to Fight for Sight in lieu of Golden Anniversary gifts.
