Carrots fundraising success!
200 fantastic supporters took part in our first ever Carrots Nightwalk on Friday 23 September, walking 15 miles through London. They took in some of the city's most spectacular night-time sights whilst raising vital funds for eye research.

Inherited eye conditions
A number of eye conditions are inherited - passed on from parents to children through their genes. Conditions include retinitis pigmentosa, LCA, Stargardt's disease and choroideremia.
Fight for Sight is funding research to identify some of the genes
responsible for these conditions, to identify patients with the
conditions and to develop and pioneer new treatments.

Prize for stem cell research
Dr Reinhold Medina Benavente received a prestigious Fight for Sight Award for his work into finding ways to treat conditions like diabetic retinopathy using a patient's own stem cells.
Fight for Sight Director of Research, Dr Dolores Conroy, presented Dr Benavente with his award at a ceremony at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

French wine - a family tradition
Fancy tasting and learning about some fabulous French wines? Fight for Sight's London Committee would be delighted if you could join them on Wednesday 2 November 2011 at the Naval and Military Club, London.
