The scientist, the actor and the jeweller
Three friends, John Greenwood, Lloyd Hutchinson and Alex Monroe will take on the 1,000 mile Land's End to John O'Groats Eye Cycle challenge. They are raising money for Fight for Sight and will be joined by friends along the way. Find out more, including how people are supporting them - from buying a specially designed T-shirt to bidding on exclusive pieces of jewellery.

My View of London competition shortlist
We were delighted by the fantastic response to the My View of London photography competition. The shortlist of 12 photos can be viewed online. Free places in Royal Parks run
We have a few places available in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 10 October 2010. This event will take runners through some of the most scenic routes in four of London's Royal Parks and past some of the capital's favourite landmarks such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace, whilst helping to raise vital funds for eye research.

All eyes on South Africa
With the 2010 World Cup in full swing the entire world is looking to South Africa. At Fight for Sight we are also very excited about a research project starting in Cape Town in September. A team from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine will be mapping occurrances of diabetic retinopathy in this location and at several other places worldwide.
