Trachoma: the world's leading cause of infectious blindness
Millions
of people worldwide have trachoma, an eye disease common in areas with
extreme poverty and poor sanitation. It can lead to scarring of
the eye, which in many cases causes blindness.
New research will investigate why this sight-threatening scarring occurs, which could lead to new treatments.
