Detecting glaucoma earlier

Phyllida Law will be making a special appeal on behalf of Fight for Sight on BBC Radio 4, sharing her personal experiences of glaucoma and talking about why research is so important.

The appeal will air on Sunday 19 December at 7.55 am and 9.26 pm and again on Thursday 23 December at 3.27 pm.

New research grant awards

Fight for Sight recently awarded six new eye research grants of £15,000 each to help researchers investigate a number of areas.

This exciting work includes looking at ways to detect glaucoma earlier and improve the success of corneal transplants. Researchers will also gain a better understanding of the causes of retinal disease.
